Ugh, if I were to hide under a towel for the day, do you think the world would ignore me for a while? I'd say probably for a minute or two, then my kids would find me and jump all over me.
Today is the day of the week that I weigh myself. And, frankly, I haven't been getting on the scale at all over the past few days. I usually jump on once in a while to see what my status is how I'm doing for the week. Yes, I'm addicted to the scale.
I went to find out what I weighed in last week, and low-and-behold, I didn't have a weigh in post? WOW, I must have been REALLY busy. So, two weeks ago my weigh in was 175.2. AWESOME!!! Today I got on the scale at 177.2. OUCH!!! In the past two weeks, I managed to add on two pounds. Ugh, Not a happy camper. Maybe I'll find that towel now.

Screwed the Pooch
Yeah, that's what I feel like when I look back over the last 24 hours. I really screwed the pooch. I've got so much going through my head that I've been able to justify everything I've put into my mouth, but WOW. Where does it end? Apparently in my stomach. I'm so completely off track. What's the scale going to say tomorrow morning? I can not do this if I plan to drop that 10lbs by the end of July. Ugh I'm disgusted in myself. I've counted up everything I ate in the last 24 hours and I at a MINIMUM of 3500 calories. WHAT!!! That's what I should be eating in about 3 days, not one! This is ridiculous. I've got to get back on track.
So what's the difference between last March and now? I must have had more willpower. I know I'm not THAT bored. I've been ironing most of the day. Just when I wasn't ironing, I was eating. A simple salad for dinner should be good, especially since I shouldn't be hungry at all.
Guess I need to start my food journal again, and post it online. KEEP ME ACCOUNTABLE PEOPLE!!!

Looky What I found
I quite literally stumbled on another Challenge!!!! I was searching the web for something else, and found this site!
It's actually very simple. You have three months to complete 100 miles (or whatever you pledge). AND, Every 15 minutes of other exercise equal 1 mile. *Note* You cannot combine partial miles from day to day. I'm really excited about this. I pledged 200 miles. Check out the website for more details. WHO'S GONNA JOIN ME?????
So, how was Zumba Tone you ask? Well, Bella, I wish I could let you know what I thought of the class, but I still have yet to go. My husband had an errand to run after work, and ended up getting home after the class had already started. I was very bummed because I really wanted to go, but I was very disappointed that he didn't tell me about his errand. I would have scheduled some other form of exercise earlier. DARN!!!
Guess what dumb crap I spend my money on? Yep, got that right, a cup! I spent $5 on a cup similar to the one above. It's hard plastic (BPA Free) and can be frozen to help keep drinks cold. I REALLY didn't want to spend the money on such a thing, but I knew if I did I'd drink more water. Let me tell you, It's working. Yesterday I had NO problem getting enough water. LOVE the straw, It makes all the difference.

CRAP!!!!
I just realized today that I'm about a month away from the end of July. I know - DUH!. The significance is that I have B.A.S.T.A.R.D.S. (my Motorcycle Riding Club) Nationals at that time. I wanted to be at my goal by that time. AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I've got some work to do. My goal was to be the weight I was when I got married. So I've only got about 10 lbs to loose. The problem is that I've got until July 28th to get rid of it. UH OH!!!! 165 isn't my goal weight, but it is my initial goal. That makes me 30 lbs lighter, and at a size 10. Believe it or not, I look good at a size 10. I'd love to be smaller, but this is what I was when I got married, and it's where I want to be by July 28th. So, I got a lot of work ahead of me.
Also, today, my husband started his job. YAY!! I got more house work done today than I have the entier two weeks he was home. I have Zumba Tone tonight, and I'm in desperate need!!!

Something New
Yes, I'm posting this between my weddings. WOW, what a crazy busy weekend, but it's been fun, and I can't wait until it's over.
Before heading out on Friday to set up, I joined my 8 months pregnant neighbor in water aerobics. I opted NOT to wear the float belt because I wanted a really good workout. I'M IMPRESSED!!
It was an excellent core workout. I had to tread water the entire time, and adding in those simple moves really got my muscles energized. I REALLY loved it, and I'm shocked that I did.
This lady went with me to my first Yoga class even though she was pregnant, and wasn't too interested in it. But she did it with me, and to support me. So I decided that I could go with her and support her this time. I guess what I'm saying is that you need to try out everything, even if you don't think you'll be interested. You don't know what exercise you'll fall in love with.

YAY
You know, if the last couple of weeks were crap, this one is good. And, the best part is that it seems to be getting better. First, THE HUSBAND FOUND A JOB!!!!!! Happy Dance. Happy Dance. Happy Dance. I'm so happy. I do love my husband, but I just can't have him around so much. What? It's true!!! That man has been messing up my schedule, and my diet since he's been home.
We're taking a little hit on his salary, but it's really not bad. We'll still be able to keep on track of being debt free in two years. WOW, I don't know if you all know that my husband and I are on a schedule to be totally debt free with the exception of mortgage and one car by the year April of 2013. That's almost $40,000 of debt paid off. Anyway, things got a little messed up for a short while, but overall we're going to be great.
So, yeah, The hubby is back to work, and I'm back to my daily schedule. YAY!!! I haven't gotten enough work done with him here.
OK, So along with the great news of the hubby going to work, I received an award.

Karen at Waisting Time gave me this award. If you don't follow her blog, you really need to!!!! She talks about everything, and has the best ideas and shares the greatest information. I really enjoy her and the help she's giving me.
Now, I have received this award before, and I have passed it on, so I have to think up some more info about me so, sorry if I repeat something you already know about me.
1) I'll start with what I talked about earlier. We (the hubby and I) are following a plan to be credit card debt free in just 2.5 years. We started out with just under $40,000 of unsecured debt (including the motorcycles). We have already paid of almost $10,000 of it currently.
2)I have a college degree. If it weren't for my STUPID advisor I'd have a double major. I found out about 2 months prior to graduating that if I had taken a certain class and wrote a very short thesis, I would have double majored in Marketing and Management. Because one class would currently be a waste of a few hundred dollars I'm not going back to get it though.
3) I currently do not use my very expensive, and very wasted college degree.
4) I never wanted to go to college. I just didn't want to disappoint my parents who were so excited for me to go to college. I finally got the balls to tell them when I ended my 3rd year, so by that time I just finished.
5) I always wanted to go to Cosmetology/Esthetician school.
6) I got nothing. And I was on such a roll.
7) I get distracted ....oh look, a kitty.

HELLO
I'm here!! I swear I didn't drop off the face of the earth.
I've once again been overrun by Life, but not bad-like last time. I just have had a lot of weddings and two HUGE weddings to prepare for this weekend. Last weekend I spent the entire time helping a friend who blew out her knee. I didn't really do much, but I kept her company for a couple nights, so that must have been nice. (At least I hope it was.)
I'm really excited!!! If you haven't seen my Dailymile Widget, I ran 5 miles!!! YAY!!! I still have a very bad time, but that's the farthest I have EVER ran!!! ALSO, I really want to send out a HUGE thank you for all the ideas and the help with the shin splints and the calf muscle pain. You guys helped a girl out more than you know. My goal is to have end up with an average of 10 min miles. I still have to drop at least 2 minutes off each mile to make that, but who would have thought just four months ago I'd actually run 5 full miles? YAY!!
So how did I do on Fitblogger?
My goal was a physical goal this week; I was supposed to get the rock laid in my 2 year old rock project. Did I do it? NO! I did not get to it this week. WHY? You may ask. And, if you didn't ask, you should. Why couldn't I find 30 min this entire week to throw a bunch of lava rock out on the ground? The answer is because I had a guy till my real garden and I got it plowed and planted!!! YAY!!!! Once again, I can't upload any pics to blogger at this time, so I'll have to put it in later. However, I'm REALLY HAPPY!!!! Just imagine some crazy tattooed pierced motorcycle riding lady doing a happy dance!!!
So, what is my Fitblogger goal for this next week. Well, DUH! I'm gonna get that stinking lava rock in!!!!!

Basic Injuries
At Zumba yesterday I was noticing some of my basic pains. It seems that I constantly have some pains that I've just written off to working out. But you'd think that after more than three months my body would be adjusted to working out and I wouldn't have basic simple injuries.
We all know that I have very bad joints. It feels right now that calf is pulling away from my bone just under my knee. I STILL can't get rid of my shin splints. I live on ibuprofen, and the next day it all starts again.
I think I need to get back to some of my basics. I stretch, I ice, I get a decent amount of water. Everything is fine. But it's obviously not enough. I was told to wrap my shins, I wonder if there's a stocking out there I can wear (what a funny tan that would be). There's got to be some basic stretches and exercises that can help with my basic little injuries.

Weigh Day!!
Let me first start off with the "New Yoga" class. It was actually supposed to start last week, but the weather wasn't cooperating. Yesterday was Yoga Under The Stars. Yeppers, we had Yoga class outside. LOVED IT! I didn't think that I'd love Yoga any more than I already do, but this really was great. A couple of weeks ago I over heard two people talking about it, and I remember hearing one saying something about how loud the motorcycles are when they drive by. Sure, there were a few, but I thought they were very relaxing. It made me smile just hearing them roar down the road. There is one thing that I learned though, I will not place my mat next to the music. Denise (the instructor) can't use a head set outside, and she's very quiet. Any background noise almost drowns her out, at least in my ears. I've got to find another time to go to a class. One hour a week is just NOT ENOUGH.
A friend of mine is attending an Antigravity Yoga class. It looks really fun!
So, today is also WEIGH DAY!!!

Wednesday and fitblogger
WOW, Is it Wednesday already? I need to get to work on prepping for the wedding this weekend. AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH - Stinking Procrastination!!
I have been doing pretty good this week. I'm sorry that I haven't been on, It's been CRAZY with the husband home. He REALLY needs to get a job. Not that him being home isn't really nice, but he's messing with my schedule!! I'm getting my exercise done, but that seems to be about it! He's been really great a few times with keeping the kids quiet and letting me sleep in. But then I wake up late and I really don't have time for my blogging. HEHE, So sweet, but it's time he heads out the door in the mornings.
I stepped on the scale this morning, and liked what I saw!!! NO I'm not going to tell you because tomorrow is my official weigh-in day, but I'm very optimistic!
So, let's talk a little about how I did with last week's Fitblogger Challenge.
I actually did pretty well!! With a few exceptions I didn't procrastinate at all!! I know, I gotta get to work prepping the linens, but other than that, I don't feel like I put anything off. I felt very on top of things. YAY. Now comes the part where I have to decide what I'm going to work on for this week. I'm kind of lost. My wonderful husband is going on a motorcycle ride all week up into South Dakota, so I'd actually like to work on something physically around the house. I GOT IT!!!
I've been working on a little rock area around my flowerbed for about - Oh, two years now. I'm going to semi-finish it. I have a bunch more rock to lay down, and it needs to get done!!! So I'm going to get what I have layed down. It'll be almost finished at that point, so that will be very nice. MY GOAL IS SET!!! WAHOO!!! It'll feel good to get that rock down and that area finished up.

Oh geeze
What a weekend!!! I cannot believe it's Monday already. I really had an up and down weekend. Unfortunately, we had a friend go down on his bike last night on his way home from work. He was avoiding deer, and laid the bike down. He's fine, but beat up pretty good. Our night tonight will be spent with his family helping take just a little of their burden off their shoulders. So, I guess this is number three (bad news comes in threes) and I'm so happy he's ok. He's road rashed up and down his left side, and a broken leg. But his head is in tact, so Thank God!!!!
As for me, I had a little run-in with a wall on Friday, and I think I have a slight sprain in my right thumb. It's not bad, but it aches, so I either jammed it or just tweaked it really good. I was planning on heading to the Dr to get a brace today, but with our friend going down, my wonderful husband went into the city to grab all his stuff and situate his bike getting to the Harley Dealer. So I'll just ace bandage my wrist for a few days. I'm sure it's fine.
I'm pretty happy though, I did two out of the three days of Strength Training. YAY!!! I have no excuse for last Wednesday. I just forgot!! UGH, I wish I had a better excuse though, DARN! All in all, I did pretty good.

WEIGH DAY!!!!
First of all, Thank you all for all the supportive posts and comments. You really don't know how much they mean to me right now. I'm sorry that I haven't done much commenting myself, but with my husband at home I'm tyring to stay OFF the computer as much so we can get some work done, and he can have space. I'll be reading up on my favorite bloggy people soon though (so watch out!!!).
Oh Em Gee!!! Seriously!!! I needed Yoga last night! (Do you know how much I love Yoga?) I needed it more than I thought I did. What a wonderful stress reliever. Strengthening and Stretching was PERFECT! Oh, and Denise (my yoga instructor) really stretched out my legs. Just wonderful! Decisions
Well, let's start off with how things went yesterday. GOOD. Things were good. My wonderful husband and I hit the gym together in the morning, Then we spent the rest of the day doing odds and ends around the house. He spent quite a bit of time on the phone with customers, and potential employers. It was a good day all-in-all. I do have to admit that my husband and I are those kind of people who need our space from each other, and so I'm hoping that things don't get too stressed here at home for him. I'm trying to accommodate him at this time because I can't imagine what is going through his head.
Last night while I was trying to fall asleep, my head started spinning on this little journey I'm on right now. As it stands, I'm not progressing at all. I'm not doing too bad, but I'm not going in either direction. I'm basically in a limbo with my weight loss.
So I asked myself, "What do you really want?" I admitted to myself that what I really want is to be thin and fit. I'm not talking just healthy. I'm talking celebrity thin, but I want to be cut too (muscles). So, the next question I had was, "What are you doing to get there?" Well, I'm exercising, I've cut down my eating, and I just started strength training. But is that enough? NO. What I'm doing is great! But it's not enough for where I want to be. So I have two choices; Change what I'm doing in order to get there, or change what I really want.
My decision; Guess I better get my butt in gear and get to where I want to be. No more lallygagging, No more screwing off with snacks and food. DONE!!

My decision; Guess I better get my butt in gear and get to where I want to be. No more lallygagging, No more screwing off with snacks and food. DONE!!

Wonders of Life
Well, We have been hit hard with this little thing called life. Yesterday was a horrible day for my lil' family. Last Thursday my husband and I celebrated getting a positive pregnancy test. Most of you know that I've been trying to get pregnant for well over a year, and even had a miscarriage at the beginning of this year. Needless to say that we were so excited, but wanted to get some more news from the Dr before sharing. I was scheduled to go in for a blood test yesterday but canceled because I started bleeding. Not Pregnant. After getting our hopes up so high, this was SO hard to take. But that's ok, there will be another time.
So, I started off my day in a really bad way. But you'd be so proud of me. I stuck to my schedule!!! I was hurting so bad that I couldn't just sit around the house so I got out and went for a REALLY BAD run. I was having the worst time trying to breath, but I pushed through it, and I felt so much better once I stretched out at home. I also had my first scheduled strength training yesterday. Let me tell you how much I wanted to do that. NOT! But I did it! I stuck to my schedule. I am so proud of myself!!!
You will also notice that I had Zumba on my schedule to do. No, I did not get to Zumba. My wonderful husband came home from work and told me that he was let go from his job. BAM, another hole in my chest to try to piece together. WOW, what a night. So, no I did not get to Zumba last night. But being home with my family was more important.
So right now, my husband is calling his customers and has a job interview already lined up for Thursday (he's in sales). I know we'll be ok. But I hope it doesn't take too long. This is probably a blessing in disguise. He hated that company, and he was a real asshole when he came home from work. So now it's time for some new beginnings.
Please keep us in your thoughts as we travel down this road. If bad news travels in threes, as some say, I pray that our third isn't going to hurt so bad.

Fitblogger update
Well, I guess I messed up last week and I TOTALLY forgot to post or set goals. I meant to, In fact I kept thinking about it, and I just procrastinated so much that all of a sudden I was working, and didn't do anything else. Ugh, sorry about that.
So, how am I doing on all my goals? I'm alright. I'm definitely not doing GREAT, but I'm not stinking it up either.
What do I plan to work on this week? Isn't it obvious? After last week's lack of entering the challenge, I'm going to work on my procrastination. NO! Not procrastinating skills, but changing my procrastination habit. You know the statement, " If it wasn't for the last minute, I wouldn't get anything done." Well, that pertains to me too much. I'm going to NOT procrastinate at all this week.

Plan
Well, I think it's time. It's quite obvious that I've got my eating down. Ok, so I think I'll be working on my snack-binging my entire life. Other than that, I've got my eating down pretty good. Also, I'm doing so great on my cardio. I LOVE working out!!! I think I LOVE it so much because it's ME time. My kids aren't with me so I get to have my own thoughts in my head. It's been years since I've found something that's just for me. So now, it's time to add something VERY important.
Starting on Monday, I'll be adding a strength training routine to my schedule. I'm actually kind of excited about it. If you've followed my blog for a little bit of time, you'll notice that I've done some ST (strength training), but I haven't followed any sort of schedule. So, I haven't kept up with it. I KNOW it's important to have a ST routine because it helps burn more calories throughout the day, and really helps with maintaining once you hit your goal weight. Besides, if I'm being honest, I want to be that girl that all the guys say, "wow, she's cut."
You'll notice that I've already changed my tabs around, and I have one that says schedule. It has my daily calorie goals broken down by meal. And I'll put on my weekly exercise schedule. This will help me stay accountable for everything that I have going on.

The Small Things
So Yesterday I had a great day! I was having such a great day that I decided to go get my hair done. LOVE it!!! I have dark brown hair, and I went blond a couple months ago. this time I got my roots done, and went a little more blond. I think it looks great!
To top it all off, I went to Yoga last night (LOVE YOGA). I unfortunately missed the last TWO WEEKS of Yoga!! Can you believe that? I've had so many weddings that I wasn't able to go. But, as I walked in my Yoga Instructor told me how great I looked!! I was shocked! I already felt like a million bucks. This woman has watched my entire transformation over the last couple of months, and to hear that from her just made my world that much better.
Well, today is Thursday. That means that for me, it's time to see my consequences of the past week, good or bad. Last week I weighed in at 176.8. After this past weekend of traveling and not watching my calorie intake, I weighed in at 177.2. I'M SO EXCITED!!! Ok, ok, it's a gain of .4 (basically half a pound) pounds. Most people would see this as a bad week, but in all reality, I don't. This proves two things to me.
1) If I kept eating like I did last weekend, I'd gain weight. So guess what? I'm not going to eat like I did last weekend.
2) My weight loss is real! If I didn't have a solid weight loss over the last couple months, then I would have sky rocketed on the scale this morning. But since it's a good-solid loss, it'll be easy to drop that .4 lbs again.
So, yes, I'm happy with my weigh in.
